Disable Attachment Comments

’ve released a new WordPress plugin called Disable Attachment Comments, based on code provided by WPBeginner.com. It automatically disables the comments section of your attachment pages. I wanted this functionality for my personal blog which I recently converted (via another plugin I wrote) to use the built-in WordPress attachment pages rather than linking directly to the image files. I did not want my visitors commenting on the new attachments pages as I’d prefer to keep any discussion on the blog posts themselves. The solution was simple, I found the blog post by WPBeginner.com which explained how to disable the attachments comments section and placed it into the plugin you see here so that I can use it on other sites in the future.
