How To Lock/Unlock Your Hard Disk Drive

For more secure our personal file/folder in a computer we need to lock our hard drive.For an example I have a PC, some times I need to share it with other user like guest or think about a office and you are working on a computer and you store some personal file in a drive. But sometimes your friends also use this computer as a guest. That time you want to secure your personal file or folder from your guest,that time you need to lock your particular disk drive. You can lock your disk drive very simply. But you must be a administrator on this computer and your user will log in as guest. So how we can do this ? Very essay:
Just log in administrator account and create a new guest account from control panel. Then make it as a guest account, remember never make this account as a admin. Otherwise he also control your computer as his wish.

Create a New Account:

For create a new account go to control panel then go to user account then you can see the user account but windows 7 you need to click on manege account then create a account or if you have another account just make him guest account.

Lock A Drive:

For lock a Drive fist think which particular drive you want to lock , you can lock every drive but guest will get a bad comment on you because you restricted him to use your computer. Thats why take your personal folder in a drive and then right click on this drive then go to properties.

In properties you can see security option then go to security option and you can find Edit option and click on this and select a user like the picture:

Then select user cant access this drive by selecting the full control is deny. After that you can see a alert message will come then click OK. Then back from this and restart your PC. Now log in your guest account that means user account then you will notice you can access this computer but you cant access the particular drive which is restricted for the user.Then click log off or switch user and Enter the administrator account and open the drive very easily.

Unlock The Drive:

You can give the full control to your user just following this way, just select full control Allow.Now your guest also free to use this Drive. But your guest cant modify this option with out the permission of Administrator.However you can lock your personal folder/file also by this way.And unlock process also same way.
